What kind of cars are welcome here??

Muscle Cars! If you have a 60's - 70's Ford, Mopar, GM, or AMC this is the place for you. Your awesome muscle car to put in the Car show is also welcome here and encouraged, we have great car shows!! During the show, you can stay by your car all day or watch the drag race classes below race, or visit the vendor area.

Once you have entered the track you will go to the Raceway Park tech line, tell them you are there for the Stock Appearing Class. You can make the judgement on which class you are in only if you have thoughly read and understand these rules. Once in the pits park near the other cool stock looking muscle cars and look for a guy with a t-shirt that says 'STAFF' and he will make sure to put you in the proper class by teching your car.

The Raceway Park announcer will announce what lanes to pull into at about 10AM, listen for this announcement, or watch the other cars you know are in your class and when they go, you go.

Once in the staging lanes:

1. Please have your hood open...LEAVE it open until the class is ready to run

2. You may be asked to have your air cleaner assembly off

3. Blocks will be checked for rules compliance

4. Head castings will be checked for rules compliance

5. Valve cover removal request may happen to check OEM casting numbers

6. I would like all racers to use water and not antifreeze in their radiators. If you spill something and it doesn't get noticed the next racer will pay for it. Please no antifreeze!

You will be in one of two classes:

The Official Stock Appearing class. If you think you belong here please check with the rules for these cars. Stock Appearing rules can be found here in another topic of the rules sections. Stock Appearing rules are strict in regards to correctness, however you can modify the engine as much as you want as long as it looks stock. Stock Appearing class is a well established racing class, for the guy that primarily uses his car as a street car, and it still looks exactly stock. You will find all kinds of rare and desirable muscle cars in this class, some bone-stock muscle cars, others with maybe a different camshaft, others still with many internal modifications. These cars can have larger than stock bored and stroked motors and use higher than stock compression. They have many other internal mods as well that make them significantly different then average street driven muscle cars. It may take a while to learn what makes your combination run in Stock Appearing., then adjust it to be competitive in Stock Appearing. Thats not to say you can't learn or try, thats what these other guys are here for. And we encourage it fully. Stock Appearing class is fun, and very competitive, gets alot of the magazine coverage.

Detailed Stock Appearing Rules here:

Muscle Car Eliminator Class:

If you have a muscle car that has headers or an aftermarket intake or aftermarket heads or blocks, you are welcome. You will be running in the muscle car eliminator class called MCE. And any entrants into this Bracket race class, must abide by their rules and regulations. Raceway Park gives out the Trophies for this event at their trophy window, you have to earn one in this class.

If you have a later model crate motor in your 60's muscle car this class is for you.

Factory Race Cars are allowed and encouraged in this class

All Nostalgia Racers Welcome here in this class.

The basic rules are: Your car is very close to Stock Appearing Class, but it has headers, or an aftermarket intake, or some other aftermarket parts on it, such as wheels.

If you are in this class:

You must have some type of street tire.....NO SLICKS...drag radials OK

You cannot have a tubbed car, no tube chassis cars, you must be an all steel body/all glass windows door slammer.

You cannot have Nitrous Oxide, or a Supercharger, or Turbo's...........If you show up with this...you will be in Test and Tune lanes and NOT running with the rest of the muscle cars.

Again your car has to be close to Stock Appearing Class rules or you will get maybe 3 test and tune shots...thats it. Don't even bother coming its not worth it.
